The nostalgia of the dumpy yet historical Orange Bowl was a polarizing topic on WQAM yesterday. What was it like to play in the stadium as a Heisman-winning quarterback?
“When I played in the Orange Bowl, there was no better place to play at home,” Gino Torretta said on the Marc Hochman Show with Zach Krantz. “It was a tremendous home field advantage and even if there was 50,000 or 60,000 at the Orange Bowl not at full capacity that place was just electric inside. I think the fans come out when you win and it’s fun when you win.”
